Infrastructure Specialist for M365 Mail Service (m/f/d)


The Generali Operations Service Platform (GOSP) supports the Generali Group in optimizing its digital services, its service quality and the creation of synergies. GOSP uses common technology platforms for the Group. As a joint venture partner, Accenture provides expertise to support transformation, innovation and scaling. GOSP develops solutions for digitalization and the introduction of a cloud-centric model. GOSP includes IT infrastructure, procurement, and security operations, among others.

That is the job

We are "Generali Operations Service Platform" (in short GOSP). In our core we are the global internal IT infrastructure provider for the Generali group with branches in six countries working closely together in international teams composed of colleagues from Italy, Germany, France, Austria, Czech Republic and Hungary.

We are also providing global procurement services and IT-application services all over Europe.

To strengthen the Collaboration & Email group, we are looking for you as Infrastructure Specialist for M365 Mail Service (m/f/d)

The tasks of the Collaboration & Email group include:

  • Synchronous identity management Domino/Azure-based
  • Management of the remaining Domino platform
  • Backend systems for e-mail related services (e-mail encryption, secure e-mail, national customizing of e-mail clients for all platforms; FAT / virtual, mobile)
  • Development of national add-ins for e-mail clients
  • Further transformation from Domino to MS/M365 platform


Your Tasks

  • Development and configuration of the Outlook client
  • Adaptation of security and compliance requirements to the email client configuration on all platforms used (FAT / virtual / mobile)
  • Development of scripts and GUIs (add-ins) for Outlook/Exchange and AD-Sync. / Identity Management to Improve Customer Service/Experience
  • Provision and operation of automatisms for the maintenance of mail/contact information (e.g. user attributes, distribution lists) for Generali-DE uniformly
  • Support of the interface between Exchange-based mail environment and Domino domains
  • Analysis, optimization and operation of the mail routing in close cooperation with the central security service team
  • Solving tickets in the 2nd level and developing 1st level support tasks for our User Help Desk
  • Adoption of GOSP standards and processes for the continuous improvement of the mail service for German customers


  • You have successfully completed an IT degree and/or have many years of professional experience and you are a M365 certified email specialist
  • You think and act entrepreneurially
  • You are fluent in written and spoken English (level B2) as well as in German
  • You are enthusiastic about working in a highly committed team in a highly dynamic, international IT environment, with colleagues in 5 European countries
  • You are familiar with the processes of the ITIL Foundation
  • You have extensive knowledge of MS Active Directories, ideally also experience with M365 cloud technologies / Azure AD
  • As a team player, you are able to organize assigned tasks yourself and have experience of working in a complex and international environment
  • You have extensive experience in the development and management of MS Exchange-based email systems. Additional knowledge of the Domino-based email environment would be an advantage.
  • You are very experienced in using scripting programming languages such as PowerShell, NodeJS and C#
  • You are proficient in all mail-relevant Active Directory objects and attributes for the operation of Exchange and M365/Exchange Online
  • You have good analytical and communication skills in German and English


You will work in a highly-motivated and international team consisting of colleagues all over Europe mainly located in Italy. You will be in contact with your team members and top management of insurance companies mainly in Europe/ Germany.
